Bryan-College Station, TX (December 10, 2008) –

The Brazos Valley Bombers announced today the signing of two Oklahoma Sooners who they believe will bolster the pitching staff. The pair joins Chad Colbert, who is returning for his second season with the team, to form the Bombers’ Oklahoma Connection.

Tyson Seng and Kennedy Winn will provide the Bombers with youth and flexibility in their rotation this summer as the team looks to garner their first TCL Championship.

Like his fellow Sooner teammate and former Bomber Trey Sperring, Seng provides the Bombers with versatility of being able to pitch and play infield. In his freshman campaign last spring, Seng hit .284 in 53 games and collected 21 RBI, while stealing 11 bases in 13 tries. He also displayed his defensive ability, as he racked up 132 assists, which was second on the team. Seng was a reliable relief pitcher when given the opportunity as well and compiled a 3.86 ERA in seven appearances. He will look to provide the same versatility with the Bombers next summer as well.

Kennedy Winn also possesses the unique ability to play multiple positions. He will be entering his freshman season with the Sooners with high expectations after a stellar high school career. Serving as Oklahoma Chickasha High School’s number one starting pitcher, he led his team to nearly 40 wins and a second place finish in the 5A State Baseball Tournament. Winn was 10-1 on the year and also provided a powerful bat and solid defense in left field. The 6’0”, 200 pound lefthander figures to be a valuable addition the Bombers roster this summer.

The 2009 season is approaching fast! Season tickets are now available for the 2009 season and can be found online at www.bvbombers.com or by calling 979-779-PLAY.
