The CBB continues our countdown to the 2009 College Baseball season with our Top 50 players to watch. We will be providing one player each day (Monday-Saturday) until we reach number 1.
We continue the list today with Alan Ahmady from Fresno State. He is a 5-11 195 pound first baseman from Clovis West High School and Fresno California.
He was an integral part of the Bulldogs run to the 2008 College World Series title. He led the team in hitting with at a .386 clip with 13 homers and an ungodly 92 RBI on the year. He also played a solid first base for the Bulldogs committing six errors for a fielding percentage of .991.
He also had a solid freshman campaign which saw him hit a respectable .288 with seven homers and 29 RBI. He will continue to develop this season and be one of the top hitters in the country which should lead to the Bulldogs making a strong case to return to Omaha.
