The 2009 Dallas Baptist University Patriots Baseball schedule was released on Monday, November 10, by Head Coach Dan Heefner. The Patriots will open up their season at home, when they welcome Binghamton University to Patriot Field on February 20, for a 3:00 p.m. game.
The Patriots look to build on the success they had in their history making 2008 season, as they try to qualify for the second consecutive NCAA Division I postseason regional bid and improve upon their 37-19 season record. DBU will host 37 home contests, including games against TCU, Texas Tech, Oral Roberts, Minnesota, Louisiana Monroe, UT-San Antonio and Sam Houston State . The Patriots will also be hosting Rice at the Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco. Notable road games will be played at perennial NCAA tournament teams such as Texas , Rice, Texas A&M, Baylor, and TCU.
“We are very excited about the upcoming season. Our players love the challenge of competing against the best teams in the nation and we will once again have the opportunity to do so. We are also looking forward to playing 37 games at home and then going on the road to play in some of the best atmospheres in all of college baseball.” said Head Coach Dan Heefner.
