Matt Clements of Inside Carolina has a great article about Game 1 of the UNC Fall World Series. The game featured two of the top pitchers in the country facing off with Alex White taking the ball for the White team and Matt Harvey taking the ball for the Blue team. Both pitchers were outstanding with Alex White going 5.2 innings while allowing two hits and two walks while striking out seven batters to pick up the win. Matt Harvey lasted 4.1 allowing the only run of the game on four hits and two walks while striking out seven batters but picked up the loss. A full recap of the game with quotes from Mike Fox is available by clicking here.
