The Farmers scored three runs on just one hit in the eighth inning to erase a two-run deficit and lift the team to a 7-6 win over the Plowboys in game two of the Aggie Baseball Fall World Series Friday afternoon at Olsen Field.

The victory evened the best-of-five series at one.

A Zach Luther leadoff single and Brooks Raley walk chased Plowboy starter Clayton Ehlert from the game in the eighth. After back-to-back walks by reliever Travis Starling forced in a run, Dylan Petrich tied the contest with a sacrifice fly before Brodie Greene scored the eventual game-winning run on a wild pitch.

The Plowboys would push runners to second and third with just one out in the bottom of the frame off Farmers closer Shane Minks, but Minks got a pop out and a strikeout to end the threat. He would then set down the side in order in the ninth to pick up the save.

Luke Anders had four RBI to pace the Farmers, including a three-run home run to left in the third inning to open the scoring. Raley and Luther had two hits apiece.

Nick Fleece and Kyle Colligan each homered for the Plowboys, while Brett Parsons had a team-best two hits.

Neither starter factored in the decision, with Ehlert lasting seven innings and allowing six hits and six earned runs. Farmers starter Alex Wilson went 5 1/3 and gave up five hits and four earned runs while fanning seven.

Minks, Denny Clement and Scott Migl combined for 3 2/3 innings of shutout relief for the Farmers.

The series will resume on Monday at 3 p.m. The Farmers will send Ross Hales to the mound while the Plowboys will counter with Chad Sherman. Admission is free and fans are encouraged to attend.
