Ryan Mollica led a solid 1-0 victory on Wednesday evening

Ryan Mollica got an RBI single in a 1-0 victory on Wednesday evening.

The FIU Golden Panthers baseball team took on the Ontario Blue Jays on Wednesday evening with FIU coming up with a 1-0 victory. FIU used a combination of four pitchers who combined on a great pitching performance where they only allowed a single hit. Scott Rembisz started the game where he went three innings facing the minimum while striking out two batters. Justin Leith followed him to the mound where he went two innings allowing only a walk for the only base runner while striking out three hitters. RJ Fondon came into the game in the sixth inning allowing a hit but did not allow a run. Eric Berkowitz pitched the final two innings allowing no hits while striking out three batters.

The FIU offense was led by Ryan Mollica who grounded a ball through the first base and second base hole in the first inning allowing Greg Waddell to score the only run of the game in the first inning. The FIU offense was silenced the rest of the game by the Blue Jays staff.
