Oklahoma’s Robert Porlier threw off the mound for the first time in about a year after having surgery on a partailly torn labrum in his right arm. He had surgery after his appearance on November 10th 2007 in a Red/White intersquad scrimmage which caused him to miss the 2008 campaign. Porlier was a solid pitcher during the 2007 season where he held down the number 1 spot in the rotation. His 2007 record was 7-5 with 99 strikeouts in 99 innings pitched. He was named to the All-Big 12 second team in 2007 for his strong campaign. A full press release on Porlier’s return to the mound is available here.
