The College Baseball Blog will occasionally check in with different newspapers across the country which has great articles about college baseball. I know it is only October 13th but there are a bunch of newspapers that have written great college baseball articles today.
The first article is from the Albany Democrat Herald which checks in with Oregon during their fall workouts. They have a great recruiting class and might be able to cause some trouble in the Pac-10 in their first campaign. The full article is available here.
The second article we have come across is from the Tuscon Citizen which talked with Arizona head coach Andy Lopez about a Pac 10 Tournament. The full article is available here.
The third article is from the NCAA about the Arizona State incident which took place in the 2008 NCAA Tournament. The incident in question was a staged fight between All-Americans Brett Wallace and Ike Davis. Both players had a scuffle before the deciding game against the Fresno State Bulldogs in which they lost. The brief scuffle was masterminded by Arizona State head coach Pat Murphy according to media reports. The NCAA has decided to uphold the sanctions against Arizona State after hearing an appeal about the situation. The full release is available here.
