Gold wins 4-2, takes 2-1 lead

Gold took a 2-1 lead Thursday with a 4-2 win over Blue. All runs were scored in the sixth and seventh inning.

Jon Pokorony picked up the win in relief, throwing the final three innings and allowing one earned run in five hits. For the game, he threw 50 pitches, 38 of which were strikes. Ryan Mitchell, Cory Hindel Joe Koch all had a run and a hit for the Gold Team on the day.

For Blue, Kyle McMillen took the loss, allowing four runs (three earned) and three hits ovver the final two innings of relief for starter Brad Stillings. Stillings allowed one hit and one walk over five innings. He threw 56 total pitches, 38 of which were strikes. Jared Bartholemew had two hits and two at-bats with a run scored while McMillen went 1-for-2 at the plate with one run scored.
