The Long Beach Press Telegram writer Bob Keisser has written an article previewing the 15 new faces around the Long Beach State program in 2009 and a potential lineup. The biggest name in the group is former Miami (FL) corner infielder Joey Terdoslavich who will be sitting out the 2009 season due to the new transfer rules. Andrew Gagnon who was selected in the 10th round by the Pittsburgh Pirates turned down a sizable bonus to play for the Dirtbags. He went 8-3 with a 1.58 ERA with Liberty High School in California. He should be able to compete for a spot in the starting rotation right away. The full article about other incoming players and a starting lineup for the 2009 by clicking here.
