The Southern Illinois Salukis have announced a tentative 2009 schedule. They will open the season on February 20th when they take part in the Coastal Carolina tournament in Myrtle Beach SC. They will then play a single game against Tennessee-Martin before heading down to Stetson to take part in the tournament hosted by the Hatters. They will then head back to Carbondale where they will host weekend out of conference series against Northern Illinois and North Dakota. They will then open up the Missouri Valley Conference schedule with a home series against Northern Iowa. They will also host Missouri State, Illinois State and Wichita State. The conference opponents in which the Salukis will visit will be Creighton, Indiana State, Bradley, and Evansville. The Missouri Valley Conference tournament will take place in Wichita from May 20th-23rd. The full schedule is available by clicking here.
