The Cape Cod Baseball League has put out two great articles on the MVP of the league which was AJ Pollock of Notre Dame and the Batting Champ in Jimmy Cesario of Houston. Pollock finished the season leading the league in hits, doubles, and slugging percentage while finishing second in the league in batting average behind Jimmy Cesario. Laura Rasmussen who served as a CCBL intern this summer put out a great article this week on Pollock which can be read by clicking here. Jimmy Cesario led the league in hitting with a .387 batting average which got him to sign a pro contract after the CCBL All-Star game with the Colorado Rockies after being a 47th round selection. Laura Rasmussen also put out a great article about Cesario which can be read by clicking here.
