First Round of Playoffs Set for Marshals

The McKinney Marshals begin the Texas Collegiate League (TCL) playoffs on Tuesday, August 5 in College Station against the Brazos Valley Bombers. The Marshals will return home to host the second and third (if necessary) games of the best-of-three series on Wednesday, August 6 and Thursday, August 7. FULL STORY

The Coppell Copperheads will play the East Texas Pump Jacks starting om Tuesday August the 5th. The location for those game will be announced as the Copperheads are taking on the Pump Jacks to day to finalized the seedings. Coppell COpperheads defeated the McKinney Marshals last year 2-1 to win the Championship.

Jacks Secure Third Place; Playoff Tickets On Sale For Game One Tuesday

The East Texas Pump Jacks’ first regular season is nearly complete.

Now, the real fun begins.

On Tuesday, the Pump Jacks will host their first-ever playoff game when the defending TCL champion Coppell Copperheads visit Driller Park for Game One of their first round series.

The first round is a best-of-three series, with Game Two scheduled for Wednesday in Coppell. Should a deciding third game be necessary, it will be held in Coppell on Thursday.

The winner will take on the winner of the McKinney Marshals-Brazos Valley Bombers set in the TCL Championship Series beginning Friday, August 8.

Last season, the Copperheads downed the Marshals in three games to capture their second Texas Collegiate League title. Coppell is the only team to win two championships in the TCL’s five-year history.

Tickets for Game One of the playoffs are on sale now. Tickets may be purchased at the Pump Jacks office at 1100 Stone Road, Suite 120, in Kilgore, or over the phone at (903) 218-GO ET. Beginning Monday, tickets for the playoffs may also be purchased online – and printed at home on any home printer – by visiting www.pumpjacksbaseball.com.

Ticket prices will remain the same in the playoffs as they were during the regular season. Tickets start at $5 each – or $4 for children and seniors – for grandstand general admission tickets. Upper Box seats are $8 each, and Lower Box seats, which feature in-your-seat wait service, are only $10 per ticket.
