Montelongo’s to give away 24 topazes and a half karat diamond in Bombers first home playoff game.
Bryan-College Station, TX (July 28, 2008) –
Are diamonds really a girl’s best friend? Montelongo’s Diamond Derby, which will take place during the first home playoff game, will give Bomber fans an opportunity to see for themselves. Montelongo’s Fine Jewelry will give away $7500 of jewelry that includes 24 topazes and a half karat diamond in the promotional event that will take place for the second consecutive year. The jewels will be mounted on a necklace provided by Montelongo’s for the winners to take home.
The excitement of the playoff game will lead off with the Diamond Derby, which will begin before the first pitch. The contest will commence with a scramble in the outfield, as the contestants will attempt to grab one of the many colored stars placed around the outfield. Following the rush, there will be a drawing that will serve as an elimination process to determine the winners. There will be 25 winners in all, with the luckiest fan receiving the diamond.
Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark is expected to be near capacity in the playoff game with all of the festivities. In addition to the diamond and topaz giveaway, fans will receive Montelongo’s t-shirts as well. There will be full concessions and inflatables will be set up for the kids, so don’t miss out the opportunity to enjoy the family experience of Brazos Valley Bombers baseball!
