I know it is early but we have come across two schedules for the 2009 season.
The first one is the University of Oregon who returns to playing College Baseball after a long absence. They will be led by longtime Cal-State Fullerton coach George Horton who is assembling a great team for the Ducks. They will open the season on Feb. 20th when they start a four game set at Saint Mary’s. The Ducks will open up their new home stadium on Feb. 27th against defending National Champion Fresno State as they visit for a three game set. Following that visit, they will head to Washington for two non-conference games. They will return home to play Santa Clara for a four game set before heading to Nevada the next weekend. The next weekend they host the PGE Park Tournament with NY Tech, Portland, and Hawaii taking part. The Pac-10 schedule starts the next week with Oregon State playing a game in Eugene and the other two games on the weekend are TBD. Stanford, Washington, UCLA, and Arizona will make treks to Oregon while they head to USC, Cal, Washington State, and Arizona State. The full schedule is available here. Thanks to Casey Grogan of The Nickel Block for sending us the schedule.
The other schedule that has come out of the University of Utah’s. They will open the season on Febrauary 20th when they head to Loyola-Marymount for a four game set. The other OOC weekend games are against Cal-State Bakersfield and Texas A&M. They will play a full Mountain West schedule which means home and home series against each opponent.
