OK State 9 TCU 8
FORT WORTH, Texas – The No. 18 TCU Horned Frogs never say die approach in games reared its head as they battled back from an 8-2 deficit with six runs in the last two innings to tie the game. The comeback was not to be, though, as No. 5 Oklahoma State’s Jordy Mercer capped a career-day with his third home run of the game in the bottom of the ninth to give the Cowboys a 9-8 victory in the Stillwater Regional. Bryan Kervin drove in four runs in his final game in the Purple and White with a home run and a double. TCU finished another outstanding season with a 44-19 record.
Trailing 8-2 entering the eighth inning, the Frogs came alive. A furious two-out rally pulled them within one as they plated five runs on four hits. Ben Carruthers opened the inning with a base hit up the middle and move to second on a walk to Steve Ellington, ending OSU starter Matt Gardner’s day.

Wichita State 11 Oklahoma State 7
STILLWATER, Okla. – Wichita State advanced to its second-straight Super Regional with an 11-7 come from behind win over Oklahoma State in 10 innings.
Clint McKeever hit a grand slam in the top of the frame to break a 7-7 stalemate, and junior reliever Logan Hoch held the Cowboys scoreless in the final innings.
Truly a rollercoaster game, the score went back-and-forth all night. The Shockers scored immediately in the top of the first with an Andy Dirks single and a Conor Gillaspie double, but the Cowboys answered with two in the bottom.
WSU took a temporary lead in the second after back-to-back singles from Josh Workman and Tyler Weber. Tyler Hill laid down a sacrifice bunt to move both runners into scoring position, and a Kevin Hall ground ball and a Dirks double each plated a run. OSU knotted it up in the bottom of the third as Anthony Capra struggled with control. On the other side OSU starter Luis Flores sailed through the third and fourth.
