Oral Roberts 8 Eastern Illinois 7 (10 innings)

LINCOLN, Neb. — Brendan Duffy hit the eventual game-winning RBI single in the top of the 10th and T.J. Kelly recorded his 10th save of the year to help lead Oral Roberts University to a 8-7 win over Eastern Illinois in the elimination game of the NCAA Lincoln Regional, Saturday at Hawks Field.

Duffy’s two-out run-scoring single to center field plated Ryan Groth in the top of the 10th inning. The two-out RBI was the sixth of the game for ORU and gave the Golden Eagles their third lead of the day.

UC-Irvine 3 Nebraska 2

LINCOLN, Neb. — Daniel Bibona pitched a career-high eight innings and Eric Pettis earned his 17th save of the season to tie the UC Irvine record as the Anteaters defeated host and top-seeded Nebraska, 3-2, in the Lincoln Regional Saturday before 8,646 at Hawks Field at Haymarket Park.

Bibona, a sophomore left-hander, struck out seven and walked two in improving to 9-3 on the season. Pettis, a sophomore right-hander, pitched a perfect ninth to earn his second save in as many nights at the regional as he tied the UCI single-season record of 17 saves set by Blair Erickson in 2004.
