BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Navy infielder Thomas Hamilton (Sr./Houston, Texas) homered in both games as the Midshipmen split a Sunday doubleheader against Lehigh in Bethlehem, Pa. The Mids won the opener, 4-2, before the Mountain Hawks rallied for 6-5 victory in the nightcap.
The Midshipmen saw its record move to 20-11 overall and 6-2 in Patriot League play, while the Mountain Hawks improved to 14-18 overall and 1-7 in league action. Navy and Lehigh played a doubleheader in Annapolis on Saturday before playing Sunday’s twinbill in Bethlehem, Pa., as last year’s series slated for Lehigh’s home field was split up due to unplayable field conditions. As a result, the Midshipmen were designated the home team for Sunday’s doubleheader at the Lehigh Baseball Field.

EASTON, Pa. – A combination of timely hitting and solid pitching from two freshman starters translated into two wins for the Lafayette baseball team against Bucknell on Sunday afternoon. With the two wins, the Leopards took three of four from the visiting Bison to win their first league series of the season.
A Tom Hayes grand slam helped give Lafayette (15-10, 4-4) an 8-5 win over Bucknell in the opening game of Sunday’s doubleheader. Freshman pitcher Zach Fritz pitched into the seventh and kept the Bison off the scoreboard until the final two innings. Lafayette went on to win 2-1 in the second game of the afternoon behind seven strong innings from another rookie, Corey Shea, who earned his first collegiate victory.
Bucknell’s Jason Buursma collected the afternoon’s first hit with a leadoff single to right field in the second inning. Two bunt singles put runners on second and third but Fritz got Ed Rubbo to strike out swinging and end the inning.

Game 1: Holy Cross 2 Army 1
Game 2: Army 8 Holy Cross 1
WORCESTER, Mass. – Matt Fouch scattered two hits through seven innings and Army banged out 14 hits to earn a split with Holy Cross, Sunday in a Patriot League baseball doubleheader at a blustery Fitton Field.
Fouch threw five-plus innings of no-hit ball and picked up the win in the second game, an 8-1 Army victory. Holy Cross pushed across a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to win the opener, 2-1.
Army and Holy Cross split the weekend series with the Crusaders winning the first game on each day and the Black Knights the second. Army had 34 hits in the two nine-inning contests
The Black Knights are now 9-18 overall and 3-5 in league games. Holy Cross, which entered the weekend leading the league, is 11-16 overall and 6-2 in conference action.
