The Quinnipiac Bobcats heading north to take on the Holy Cross Crusaders in a single game on Saturday. The Bobcats were able to pick up a 7-3 victory at Fitton Field behind strong pitching from Andy Mayer and Chris Gloor. John Delaney led them at the plate by going 3-5 with a long home run that ended up on Route 290 which is the first time in many years that a ball have reached that area. Mayer was able to work through six innings allowing only three hits and one run. Chris Gloor came in to pitch the final three innings and allowed two hits with two runs which was aided by a key Quinnipiac error. HC starting pitcher Mike Thater went 5.2 innings while allowing five runs (three earned) as his record drops to 0-2 on the year. HC’s bats were silent during most of the game except for Kyle Lister’s home run in the eighth inning over the centerfield wall. The CBB will likely be in attendance during HC-UConn game on Tuesday.
