img_1931.jpgBrandon Belt was 3-4 and drove in 5 runs 3 of those came in the bottom of the first with a shot that went over the 375 foot sign in RCF. Brandon also pitch the 8th and 9th to close out the game and to give Texas the win against another Southland Conference foe. The top of the line up for Texas consisted of Danks, Tucker, and Preston Clark and they scored 7 of those runs.

Leading the way for the Bobcats was Johnathan Farrow as he was 2-4 with a HR and 3 RBIs.

Up next for Texas will be Texas Tech as the Longhorns travel to Lubbock to face the Red Raiders in a Thursday- Saturday tilt due to Easter.

For Texas State they will be hosting UT Arlington in San Marcos in a conference matchup.
