Riley Boening worked his longest outing of the year after missing all of last year after having surgery on his shoulder. Boening works 4 2/3 on an inning but just misses out on getting the win. UTSA finally gets to Boening in the 5th for 3 runs and the staff knows that there in no needs to push him. Shinnaberry comes in to finish off the inning.
Leading the way for the Horns offensively was Preston Clark. On the night Clark was 4-5 with 5 RBIs and Brandon Belt was 3-6 with 3 RBIs. Cameron Rupp continues his hitting streak with a Double in the 9th inning. That is the 13 games that this BIG freshman has hit safely.
Up next for the Horns will be the Texas State Bobcats at the Disch at 6:05 tomorrow. For UTSA they will take on UT Pan Am in a double header tomorrow.
