CLEVELAND, Miss. – For the first time this season, the second-ranked Ouachita Baptist baseball team has dropped back-to-back games as the Tigers were blanked by sixth-ranked Delta State, 9-0, Sunday afternoon in a Gulf South Conference West Division game at Boo Ferriss Field.

The Tigers (24-5 overall, 1-2) have now lost three out of their last four games and dropped the series to the Statesmen (18-7, 2-1).

Chase Baran (4-1) started on the mound for the Tigers and went 5 1/3 innings. He surrendered six runs on 11 hits with a pair of walks and two strikeouts.
