The Bryant Bulldogs knocked off Number 1 ranked Mount Olive Trojans 5-4 on Thursday which was the first loss of the season for the Mount Olive snapping a 23 game winning streak. The Bulldogs were down 4-0 after three innings but were able to come back behind a strong pitching performance from freshmen pitchers Michael Ryan and David O’Brien. The Bulldogs scored three runs in the fifth innings to get back in the game behind hits from Mark Dondero, Dave Muscatello, and Jason Alexander. Bryant would score a run in the sixth inning to tie the game before taking the lead for good in the seventh inning when Pat O’Connor hit a double to drive in Jeff Vigurs with the winning run.
