The CBB had very high expectations for the Vanderbilt Commodores as they enter the SEC season with a 10-3 overall record and a top 10 national ranking. The Commodores been able to get off to such a great start even though they have an injury to their top player Pedro Alvarez who is expected to be a Top 5 pick in the MLB draft. (He was listed in the CBB Top Players in our Preseason Preview available here.)The other amzing thing is that the other two top players in Ryan Flaherty and Dominic de la Osa who were expected to support Alvarez in the lineup have gotten off to slow starts.
