Stanford got on the board in the first with a run and Texas answer in the bottom of the first with a double off the green monster by Danks and then Belt single to bring him in to tie the game at 1 after the first inning. It was 2-2 going in to the 5th when Skip Johnson brings in Kyle Walker to face the Cardinal. and Kyle proceeds to walk the first batter and then after a failed bunt attempt Kyle gives up a single and then a walk. With the bases loaded Molina drive a pitch to center field for a base hit to score two. Stanford takes the lead into the bottom of the inning and Texas is able to score 1. Marcus Tackett comes in the 6th and was able to keep the Cardinals from scoring. In the bottom of the 6th Texas takes the lead with a walk and two hits. The score going into the 7th was Texas 5 Stanford 4. Domaracki gets it started with a single but gets thrown out on a nice play by Brandon Belt.
