A wedding in Delhi and a stunning workload have kept me from putting together my Vandy and SEC baseball previews (I’ll try to get them up this weekend), but there’s some great news out of Nashville: Vanderbilt will be streaming free webcasts of their games in the opening weekend tournament. You can watch by going to VUCommodores.com and going through a brief, free registration process that will give you access to the video streams of all home Vanderbilt games as well.
On tap:
Vanderbilt vs. Defending Champs Oregon State (Friday at 3p.m. Eastern)
Vanderbilt vs. #1 Ranked Arizona State (Saturday at 3p.m. Eastern)
Vanderbilt vs. Miami (OH) (Sunday at 1p.m. Eastern)
Vandy’s webcasts are glitzy in the graphic department, but they do good camera work and have a pretty good radio team (though voice of the Commodores Joe Fisher and regular color guy Kevin Stallings will be busy with Stallings’ hoops team’s push toward the NCAAs).
In the preview department, VandySports.com is in full gear with previews. In an interview with Coach Corbin on Wednesday, VS Publisher Chris Lee got the scoop on the starting weekend rotation and a mixed up lineup that may shock some with the batting spot of Preseason Player of the Year Pedro Alvarez. It’s all Rivals.com premium content and can be found on VandySports.com’s Baseball Central.
Over at VUCommodores.com, Brandon Barca (who did a great job arranging the webcasts through ASU) and crew have put together a stellar series of content on the ‘Dores in their Preseason Central. Definitely check in with VUC for Ryan Flaherty’s season long diary entries.
