CSTV editor Doug Kroll checks in this week with an article about the top transfers for the 2008 season. He discusses how the Winthrop Eagles have been devastated with their ace pitcher in Alex Wilson as he got injured in the Cape Cod League this summer which he had Tommy John surgery to correct. When he gets healthy, he will be suiting up for Texas A&M in 2009. Wilson’s friend Phil Carey followed him to Texas A&M and Jason Franzblau was set to take over the ace role but he decided to transfer to Arizona State. The Eagles will be facing a tough year trying to replace these three impact players. Kroll talks about the impact transfers for Oklahoma State in Matt Hague (Washington) and Luis Flores (Houston). He also talks about many other players in the article which is available here.
