When the initial list came out I made a comment on the article that I was surprise to see that Preston Clark was not on the initial list. Well as of Today Preston Clark has made the list. Preston Clark will be a very key member of the defense. The infield will have to replace two seniors and 3rd baseman Bradley Suttle who was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 4th round. With Preston behind the plate for his 3rd season his leadership will be called upon to make sure that the infield is set and in the right position. Preston belongs on the list as well as Jordan Danks and Kyle Russell. To read the full Article click here.

Yeah, so does Sam Houston State: Three Bearkats, including returning first-team All-American Bobby Verbick, have been selected to the Brooks Wallace Watch list for the 2008 baseball season.
Joining Verbick on the watch list are teammates Jacob Howard and Keith Stein.
Thanks for posting a comment. I know that Mark Johnson has the bearkats headed in the right direction. They will be a force in the Southland conference for years to come. They also had a very good recruiting class. I was hoping that Bobby Stone would have come to Texas.
Please come back during the season!
Hey, no problem…I have really enjoyed the site.
FYI…the Bearkat’s ’08 baseball schedule is up on the gobearkats.com website.
Make sure you come back during the season and how did you find our Website??
Congrats to the Horns, always a great program. We are proud to have 4 on the list from Ole Miss: Jordan Henry, Lance Lynn, Zach Miller and Cody Satterwhite. I think the only program with more is ASU, who has an amazing 6 on the list.
Great site, I just found it a couple of weeks ago…….only 67 days till opening day, can’t wait.
Swayze,
I remember that incredible Super Regional against the Rebs. Rebs deserved a better seeding that year. Ole Miss should have been in the CWS along with Texas.
Make sure you check back!
Glad to see they added Miller. I don’t think he was initially on there. And here’s to another great season of OM-VU baseball. They are definitely my favorite matchup to watch.
Actually….word of mouth.
Yes, I will return often. I would return more often if you had any features on the Bearkats…come on, if you can do one with a Lumberjack, surely you have time to do a feature with a Texas Baseball Hall of Famer like Mark Johnson, right?
What would you like to see?? Features on just the BearKats or more on the Southland Conference?
The reason we had a feature on SFA was that Brian was able to get an interview with the Head Coach.
We are growing and it takes time to get a grasp of what people would like.
Only so much time in a week….Lets get some more advertisers and all of us can quit our jobs and do this full-time.
DH…Let me see what I can do with Johnson.
I would like to see a feature on the turnaround of the Bearkats in only Coach Johnson’s first season at SHS. A discussion on his first two recruiting classes and, of course, some coverage of the SLC. Later, some features on the players themselves.
We have a fansite: Katfans.com. I can guarantee you will find some BK baseball fans over there that would gladly check out this site. Come by and give a plug to the “Gang” …you are guaranteed a big Bearkat Welcome.
I am waiting on approval from the administrators.
You are all clear to do what you want DJB
Sorry Brian,
I was talking about KatsFans .com
djbfootball…that shouldn’t be a problem. Come by and visit the site as soon as you can.
I was able to visit and post a comment on your thread!
Yeah, I saw it. I PM’d you a welcome and Leftydad has responded as well. He mentioned he has emailed Brian already. LD is a wealth of BB info…SLC and otherwise. His son played for SHS.
