Andy Marks who was the number 1 pitcher for the Kansas Jayhawks in 2007 is facing a long road after surgery in September for a torn labrum. He had to keep his arm in a sling right after surgery for four weeks before starting up rehabilitation for his arm. He is currently in physical therapy and expected to begin throwing in January. A full article about Marks was written by Shawn Shroyer of The University Daily Kansan which can be read here.

A new collection of KU baseball notes is now posted at Rock Chalk Talk. One of the stories is about Marks’ injury and what it means to the KU pitching staff. Below is a link:

1. Andy Marks recovering from shoulder surgery and might miss part of the season.
2. New NCAA and MLB rules making life a bit harder.
3. Very early Top-25 rankings.
I think anyone who follows NCAA baseball will find the last two stories interesting. The Big-12, as all the baseball power conferences, will be significantly effected by the recent rule changes.
As always, comments and tips are welcome.
Now if you will excuse me, I need to eat a Bowl of Oranges. Funny thing, I couldn’t find any oranges for sale in Missouri today. Plenty to be found in Kansas. They taste great. A lot better than Cotton.
Wonderful view on lege Baseball Blog » Marks facing tough road back! Always love your blog!
