Tony Thomas Jr. of Florida State has officially joined the Chicago Cubs organization after being a fourth round pick by the Chicago Cubs. He was named Collegiate Baseball’s Player of the Year after hitting .430 with 91 runs, 33 doubles, 11 homers, and 31 stolen bases in 2007. The Seminoles are in the process of signing Tony Delmonico who is transferring from the University of Tennessee and should compete for the starting job at second base in 2008.
