- Pittsburgh 3, Cincinnati 0 (Pittsburgh, PA)-Game 1-Fans in Pittsburgh saw a complete game shut out from starting pitcher Paul Nardozzi (the game was only 7 innings), he gave up no runs on only 4 hits and striking out 4.
- Pittsburgh 3, Cincinnati 2 (Pittsburgh, PA)-Game 2)-The second game saw the Bearcats jump out to a quick 2-0 first inning lead on a Michael Earley home run, then in the bottom of the third the Panthers came back with back to back jacks from Jordan Herr and Sean Conley. The Panthers then took the lead for good in the 5th inning, with runners on first and second when Gary Bucuren singled to center field knocking in what would be the game winning run.
- St. Johns 10, Connecticut 7 (Queens, NY)-UConn jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in the first inning just to see St. John’s score 7 runs in the 4th. St. John’s was led by DH Zayas going 3-5 with 2 RBI and scoring a run. UConn recap
- Louisville 10, Villanova 3 (Villanova, PA)-The Cardinals used a 3 run 3rd inning led by Boomer Whiting who extended his hitting steak to 13, he also stole his 31st base which is a school record. The Cards were led by left fielder Isaiah Howes who went 3-5 with 3 RBIs. Louisville Recap
- Rutgers 5, Georgetown 4 (Piscataway, NJ)-Rutgers down 4-2 in the bottom of the 8th used two straight singles by Ryan Hill and Dave Williams, to set up for a Tom Edwards homerun to put the Knights up for good. Rutgers Recap
- West Virginia 4, Seton Hall 3 (Morgantown, WV)-Both teams scored the first runs on solo blasts, WVU’s by Tyler Kuhn and The Hall’s by Greg Miller. With the scored still tied in the bottom of the 5th West Virginia’s Austin Markel smashed a 2 run jack to give WVU a two run lead. Seton Hall battled back to score one in the 6th and the other in the 7th when Dan McDonald knocked in Robbie Hine to tie the game. With the scored still tied in the 9th West Virginia scored the final run on a wild pitch, I guess you could call that a walk off wild pitch. Seton Hall Recap
- South Florida 9, Notre Dame 1 (South Bend, IN)-USF jumped on the Irish early scoring 2 first inning runs on no hits (Walk, error, wild pitch). The Irish responded with a lead off homer from SS Brett Lilley but again for a second day Notre Dame’s bullpen was unable to throw strikes and gave up 7 of the 9 runs.
