The Wake Forest Demon Deacons will visit the Toreros of San Diego for a weekend set. Wake Forest is coming into the games with a 3-1 record after weekend sweep over Kent State and a mid-week loss to Appalachian State 10-9. San Diego enters with one of the best pitchers in the nation Brian Matusz who will start Friday night. The Toreros enter with a 9-4 record taking three out of four games against Virginia Commonwealth. The pitching match ups for the weekend will be Wake Forest’s Brad Kledzik (0-0, 9.00 ERA) facing off against San Diego’s Brian Matusz (2-0, 2.19 ERA). Saturday match-up will be Eric Nielsen (1-0, 5.68 ERA) for Wake and San Diego counters with Matt Couch (2-0, 4.12 ERA). The series finale is tentatively scheduled to have Wake send Garrett Bullock (1-0, 1.80 ERA) to face Josh Romanski (1-1, 6.38 ERA).
