The Texas Longhorns knocked off UT-Arlington by a score of 9-4 to pick up their second victory on the young season. The Longhorns used a running attack on Tuesday by stealing nine bases including two each by Nick Peoples, Jordan Danks, and Bradley Suttle. Kyle Russell led the offensive attack by going 3-3 with a double, a homer, two runs scored, and three runs driven in. Hunter Harris started for the Longhorns and lasted 4.1 innings while letting up four runs. He was followed by Joseph Krebs who pitched 2.2 perfect innings while striking out four. Randy Boone finished off the game by pitching two shutout innings. Dillion Gee started for the Mavericks and gave up three runs in three innings. Chris Taylor followed Gee by lasting only two innings but gave up four runs. The rest of the pitchers had fine performances for the Mavericks. Texas now heads to Long Beach State for a three game set while Arlington hosts La Tech for a three game set.
