Boston College dominated the Harvard Crimson 10-2 yesterday at Fenway Park. Boston College Junior CF Pete Frates had a career day going 4 for 4 with a home run into the visitor’s bullpen at the historic ground. He has been struggling this year hitting 212 on the season now.
Boston College has been struggling in their first season in the ACC but has been extremely competitive losing many hard fought games. Dan Houston and Terry Doyle have pitched pretty well for a freshman and a sophomore respectively. Doyle pitched 7.1 innings against Clemson this weekend to get a big 3-2 victory over the slumping Tigers. Boston College needs to get more consistent in the field with their defense which tens to give up too many extra outs.
The future is bright in Chestnut Hill with Peter Hughes coaching the team and showing what is needed to become an NCAA tourney team in the future.
