Tyler Junior College’s head baseball coach Jon Groth put in his resignation on Monday. He had spent the last 17 years in charge of the program accumulating 451 wins at the school after he restarted the program in 1992. He also won the National Championship in 2007 which was the first in school history. This is an interesting move as Tyler Junior College was kicked out of the Metro Athletic Conference and would become an independent for the 2010 season. It seems that Coach Groth didn’t want to become an independent school again like they were last in the 2003-2004 school year. Full Article
